Continuing 2025 momentum into the new year

Explore how purpose-driven innovation shaped Cúram’s journey in 2025 - and what’s next for AI, partnerships, and product in 2026.

What a year! As 2025 wraps up, I want to take a moment to look back at what we’ve accomplished together and share what’s next. This year was all about modernization with purpose. We made bold technical moves while staying true to the foundation that powers social program delivery for governments around the world. That mix of deep expertise and client-driven innovation is what makes Cúram stand out.

    Modernization that matters

Government agencies are under constant pressure to adapt to new federal mandates, changing citizen expectations, and the need to do more with less. In 2025, we focused on making that easier.

Take H.R. 1. It’s a big deal, introducing major changes to Medicaid and SNAP eligibility. Instead of waiting for agencies to scramble, we launched an advisory group and are rolling out a Community Engagement cartridge early next year. It works with Cúram or any integrated eligibility platform, so you don’t need a full system upgrade. That means faster compliance, lower costs, and less stress.

We also gave agencies flexibility with our latest release, which supports both Java 8 and Java 21. And we expanded cloud-native deployment options with production support for Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service. Translation: you can scale with confidence.

And because accessibility matters, we improved WCAG compliance and made UI enhancements so the platform feels easier and more intuitive for everyone—citizens and caseworkers alike.

    Innovation with purpose

Innovation isn’t about chasing shiny objects. It’s about solving real problems. Our Cúram Advisory Groups helped us do just that, shaping 49 product releases through direct client feedback. One of the biggest wins? Cúram Action View—a new module that streamlines caseworker workflows and boosts productivity by up to 80 percent. When we unveiled it at the APHSA ISM Conference, the response was clear: game changer. It’s coming in June 2026, and we’re excited.

We also shared strategies to tackle workforce challenges, from creative staffing models to automation. Because technology alone isn’t enough—agencies need holistic solutions to thrive.

    AI-powered efficiency and experiences

Here’s where it gets exciting. In 2026, we’re doubling down on AI. Imagine eligibility processes that adapt dynamically, workflows that optimize themselves, and insights that surface instantly—all powered by advanced machine learning and natural language processing.

    Our goal is simple:

    • Automate repetitive tasks so teams can focus on what matters.
    • Deliver personalized, intuitive experiences for citizens and caseworkers.
    • Use predictive models to help agencies make smarter decisions.

We’re combining industry-leading AI strategies with deep domain expertise to create experiences that are not only faster but smarter. Every enhancement is designed to free up time for what matters most: serving people.

    Impact in action

Behind every milestone is a story of impact:

    • Canada moved 7.4 million Old Age Security recipients to Cúram—on time and without disruption.
    • Washington, DC reaffirmed its partnership to keep critical services reliable and adaptable.
    • Scotland launched new national benefits on Cúram and earned the UK IT Industry Award for Public Sector Project of the Year.
    • One of the largest counties in the U.S. moved a decade of program data into a secure, cloud-based warehouse for better insights.

These aren’t just projects. They’re proof that modernization and innovation drive real-world outcomes.

    Celebrating our team

Our success starts with our people. This year, Bhavana Giriyappa earned a TechWomen100 award, Sowmya Indrali Nayak was nominated for her contributions, and Siva Kumar Veluru joined APHSA’s Emerging Leaders program. Their achievements reflect the talent and passion behind everything we do for our customers.

    Looking ahead

With the general release of Cúram Action View and deeper AI integration, our mission remains clear: empower agencies with future-ready solutions that deliver better outcomes for everyone. Thank you for your trust and collaboration. Here’s to building a future where government services are more accessible, efficient, and responsive to every community.
