PO08868, WorkItem:262960 - Custom functions that are invoked when navigating through certain scenarios in an Intelligent Evidence Gathering Script may execute on the wrong entity leading to unexpected behaviour

Issue Description:

During the completion of an IEG (Intelligence Evidence Gathering) assessment when a custom function is invoked, a member details page appears to be skipped and a ghost member appears. This occurs only after navigating backwards using the left-hand sections panel from a page where you are entering additional information for a household member.

User Interface Impact: No

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Login as Insurance Affordability caseworker.
  2. Register a Person and start a new application.
  3. Enter the applicant details and also make sure to enter details for one household member.
  4. On the Tax Dependent Information page for the household member click Getting Started in the sections panel.
  5. Continue back through the script until you reach the Other Household Members page.
  6. Click Next to open the Household Members Details page.
  7. Issue: The previously displayed question page for entering information about the household member is unexpectedly skipped and you are presented with a question page for entering a new household member.

Non Healthcare Reform Scenario:

Note:

If you are a customer that does not use the Healthcare Reform Solution but have configured Intelligence Gathering Scripts as an Intake mechanism, you can reproduce this scenario by performing the following prerequisite steps to configure an assessment.

Prerequisite(s):

There should be an initial section with one question page. There should then be a second section containing:

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch the custom assessment script.
  2. Navigate to the final question page by entering information for the primary applicant and one household member.
  3. Navigate back to the initial section.
  4. Click Next until you reach the question page within the loop.
  5. Issue: The previously displayed question page for entering information about the household member is unexpectedly skipped and you are presented with a question page for entering a new household member.

Resolution:

The previously skipped household member question page is now displayed correctly instead of the new member question page and the assessment can be completed successfully

Technical:

A callout is an Intelligent Evidence Gathering (IEG) script element that is used to invoke code which is not part of IEG. It can be used to execute a custom function which, for example, modifies the attributes of an entity on the Datastore.

This issue was resolved by ensuring entities are ordered correctly before each IEG callout script element is executed, preventing unexpected behaviour when navigation through an IEG script.

The java class that was updated is:

NextPageCommand.java
