Merative ™ Social Program Management Third Party Prerequisites Policy Change
Merative Social Program Management Third Party Prerequisites Policy Change
In order to greater assist our customers with future planning regarding technical infrastructure and upgrades to your Merative Social Program Management solutions; we are announcing changes to how Merative Social Program Management will announce support for third party pre-requisite software and tools.
Beginning with the release of Merative Social Program Management v7; and for all future releases of Merative Social Program Management solutions; we will only define support for the third party products for which our solutions have a direct dependency. To use supported database software as an example, for each release we will define the database systems that are supported by Merative Social Program Management. Because Merative Social Program Management products interact with the database itself and not the environment upon which it resides; the variety of environments upon which these database systems can reside are dependent and supported by the database system vendor rather than Merative Social Program Management. Since there is only an indirect dependence to the supported environment due to Merative Social Program Management’s interaction with the database system and not it’s hosting environment, it is our policy to allow customers to utilize any supported environment for the database system; leaving the third party vendor to define which environments are supported.
This provides customers with the ability to utilize any environment supported by the third party vendor for tools that have a direct dependency with Merative Social Program Management as well as greater clarity into the software and tools that are required for development and deployment of Merative Social Program Management solutions.
For greater clarity, the following are some frequently asked questions that address common concerns regarding this announcement:

Does this represent a reduction in supported platforms?

Does this change my support contract, terms or Service Level Agreements?
No, your support terms and contract are unchanged.
