Why do the supported Merative Social Program Management (SPM) Ant targets not work using Apache Ant 1.9.7 on the Solaris and HP-UX platforms?

Answer

Support for Apache Ant 1.9.7 has been introduced in Merative Social Program Management 7.0.0.0.

There is an existing defect in Apache Ant 1.9.7 which prevents the supported SPM Ant targets from running successfully on the Solaris and HP-UX platforms. Various errors are reported by this version of Ant depending on the target being run and the platform being used to run those targets.

If there is a requirement to run these Ant targets on the Solaris and/or HP-UX platforms, it is recommended to revert back to using Apache Ant 1.9.6.

It should be noted that the 'configtest*'* target will still fail under such circumstances by reporting that Apache Ant 1.9.6 is not supported for this version of the product. This is expected behavior as Apache Ant 1.9.7 is still the version of Ant to use for the other supported platforms in Merative Social Program Management 7.0.0.0.
