    Improved Search in Curam Security Bulletins

    The Security Bulletins page now makes it easier to assess vulnerabilities affecting your installed version and plan your upgrade strategy.
    Two new columns: Affected Version and Fixed Version provide at-a-glance visibility into vulnerability impact and remediation.
     
    What's New
    Previously, you needed to open individual security bulletin articles to find affected and fixed version information. Now this critical data is displayed directly in the search results table:

    • Affected Version – The product version(s) impacted by the vulnerability

    • Fixed Version – The product version(s) where the vulnerability is resolved

    The search field now accepts either article titles or CVE IDs, and the article number column
     
    How to Use the Enhanced Search
    Scenario 1: Check if a Specific CVE Affects Your Version
    Use when: You need to verify whether a known CVE impacts your installation

    1. First, set the Affected Version filter to your current version

    2. Review the Affected Version column to see if your installed version is listed

    Result: Quick confirmation of vulnerability impact

    Scenario 2: Identify All Vulnerabilities Affecting Your Current Version
    Use when: You want a comprehensive view of security issues affecting your installed version

    1. Search using the Affected Version filter with your installed version (e.g., "8.0.1")

    2. Leave the Fixed Version filter blank to see all vulnerabilities

    3. Review the Fixed Version column to see which releases contain fixes

    Result: Complete vulnerability list for your version, showing all available fixes across releases

    Scenario 3: Find Fixes Released in a Specific Version
    Use when: You want to see only the security fixes published in a particular release

    1. First, set the Affected Version filter to your current version

    2. Then, set the Fixed Version filter to the specific release you're interested in (e.g., "8.1.0")

    Result: Narrowed list showing only vulnerabilities fixed in that exact version release
     
    Important Note About Fixed Version Filter
    The Fixed Version filter shows only bulletins for fixes published in that specific version—it does not include fixes from earlier releases. For the most complete view, start with Affected Version only, then use Fixed Version to narrow down to a specific release if needed.
     
    Additional Notes

    • You can still access full vulnerability details by clicking on any article title

    • The search field accepts both CVE IDs and article titles for quick lookup

    • For questions about specific vulnerabilities, consult the complete security bulletin article
