Child Welfare Practice Lead at Cúram

Joseph Castro is a nationally recognized child welfare subject matter expert with more than 25 years of experience advancing SACWIS and CCWIS design, modernization, and implementation efforts across the United States and Canada. Currently at Cúram by Merative, he helps shape strategic child welfare solutions and supports state and provincial agencies in improving technology-enabled practice. His contributions to the field were honored with the Administration for Children & Families Assistant Secretary’s 2009 Partnering for HHS Excellence Award. Joseph is a PMI-certified PMP, a Licensed Certified Social Worker, and a Cúram Certified Professional. He began his career as a child protection worker in Massachusetts and holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
