    Merge Cardiology customers, 

    I hope all of you are having a wonderful start to your holiday season! I want to introduce myself if we haven’t met yet. I am Alina Shapira, the product leader for Merge Cardio & Merge Hemo. Within my first six months here, I have been lucky enough to meet some of you in person - some of you just last week at RSNA in Chicago! I have observed your unwavering dedication to patient care and the value that Merge solutions bring to support you on that journey. 

    I encourage you to read through the product updates below, follow us on social media, and tune in to our Tuesdays with Merge sessions. The Merge team has been working diligently on addressing and improving the challenges you’ve flagged, to help you boost productivity, improve confidence in the work you do, and create even better experiences with Merge.

    Product news

    Now available: Merge Hemo 11.2 

    The latest version of Merge Hemo is now commercially available to all Merge customers. It offers new features focused on security, flexibility, and improved performance, including:  

    • Direct support for Windows 11 LTSC operating systems, helping to improve security and IT compliance, and simplify future upgrades.
    • New Nellcor SpO2 compatibility, creating more flexibility in patient monitoring.
    • Efficient DC workstation upgrades that can be mass updated by IT.

    What’s new in Merge Hemo 11.2

    Coming in 2026: Merge Cardio 12.5 

    The latest version of Merge Cardio is now in the Early Adoption phase. It will offer enhanced features and productivity improvements  when released for commercial availability in 2026, including:  

    • AI-generated echo measurements, thanks to integrations with new partner Us2.ai, helping to potentially reduce end-to-end exam times and create opportunity for higher study volume.*
    • Workstation measurement enhancements, allowing for later modifications, reorganized measurement panel for easier navigation, and fewer clicks.
    • Further improvements made to Merge Cardio partner integrations.

    Merge partners with Us2.ai to transform cardiology diagnostics

    Merge is partnering with Us2.ai, a leader in AI for echocardiography, to improve confidence in clinical outcomes and help clients deliver quality cardiac care with AI-powered diagnostic tools that will enhance echocardiography workflows. Available in the upcoming release of Merge Cardio 12.5, this collaboration integrates Us2.ai’s cutting-edge, FDA-cleared algorithms with Merge Cardio’s advanced imaging systems to deliver AI-generated echocardiogram analysis and measurements.

    Tenure at Merge: 
    David has been in the Merge Cardio support team for 20 years.

    Professional achievements: 
    I am happy to be working for Merge Healthcare, we have an excellent product, and the best support in the cardio industry. I am proud that we’ve provided the same level of care and commitment through several mergers and that I’ve been a part of so many Best in KLAS rankings.

    Best aspect of working in support: 
    I enjoy working from home so I can be there for my daughter while still providing support to my customers. Of course I love working with a great team.

    Favorite thing about living in Quebec 
    Quebec has such great people, a lot of history and community.

    Hobbies and interests: 
    In my spare time I enjoy watching movies, hockey, skiing, and numerous DIY projects.

    On David’s bucket list: 
    Buy a bucket….and one day travel to Europe and spend some time among other places and cultures. Also a ‘69 Mustang would not hurt.
