Usability updates
Merative Integrated Care
Previously, if you viewed your profile and then closed the Profile page without adding or removing a photo, your workspace refreshed and your recent page history was cleared. The refresh behavior is now improved. Now, if you close your user profile page without taking any action, the workspace does not refresh and your recent page history is retained. The workspace now refreshes only when you upload or remove your profile photo.
Adding quick notes
Merative Integrated Care
In response to your feedback, so that you can add a client note without losing context of your current workflow, you can now create a quick note when a client is in focus. If you go to different parts of the application, your quick note stays open so that you can continue to add to it when interacting with the client. Your information is retained as you draft your quick note.
When you add a quick note, you can select a note type, for example, touchpoint, general, assessment and complete the fields that are conditionally displayed for the selected type. You will be able to minimize a quick note at any time and return to it later. When minimized, a red dot displays to indicate that the quick note is unsaved. Saving a quick note adds it to the client’s Notes list. From the Notes list, you can edit or delete the quick note in the same way that you manage standard notes that you add in different parts of the application.
Viewing unassigned clients and unassigned referrals
Merative Integrated Care
So that you can manage unassigned referrals and unassigned clients, access to the corresponding list pages will be configurable by your administrator. Note, to allow you to view the list pages, your administrator must configure them to be shown.
Specifying source and original source system for assessments
Merative Integrated Care
So that you can capture where an assessment with an associated questionnaire originated, you can now specify source and the original source system values when you run the assessment. Note, to allow you view and add the source and original source system values, your administrator must configure them to be shown.
Specifying source and original source system for questionnaires
Merative Integrated Care
So that you can capture where a client questionnaire originated, when you run a questionnaire, you can now specify source and the original source system values for the questionnaire.
Removal of Terminology Services
Merative Integrated Care
When manually recording an Allergy, Medication or Condition, you must now enter the name. The Terminology Services search is no longer available.
Updating capacity based on care team roles
Merative Integrated Care
So that you can review and update the number of clients that a care team member can care manage, you can now update a care team member’s capacity based on their role(s), specific skills and experience. You can also view the number of clients that a care team member is assigned for each of their roles, and the total number of clients regardless of their roles.
Configuring capacity for care team roles
Merative Integrated Care
So that supervisors can specify the number of clients that a care team member can safely and effectively care manage, you can now specify capacity for care team roles. The default capacity value is 150, which you can update, as needed. If capacity does not apply to a care team role, you can leave the field blank. If you leave the field blank, the capacity for the care team role displays as Not Set.
Configuring source and original source system for assessments
Merative Integrated Care
So that a care team member can record the source and original system that a client’s assessment information was captured in, you can now configure a list of source and original source systems for assessments with an associated questionnaire script for care team members to choose from.
Configuring source and original source systems for questionnaires
Merative Integrated Care
So that a care team member can record the source and original system that a client’s questionnaire information was captured in, you can now configure a list of source and original source systems for questionnaires for care team members to choose from.
Configuring sharing for custom client data
Merative Integrated Care
So that client information that is captured in respect of configurable (custom) client data types can be transferred between Merative Integrated Care and external systems via integrations, you can now share configurable client data types with external systems. When a configurable client data type is shared and active, you can download its API document for use by your organization’s systems integrator. The API document contains REST the API calls and structure required for external systems and Merative Integrated Care to share client information captured in respect of the configured client data type.
Updating reporting user interface
Reporting
The Reporting application is now upgraded to Cognos Analytics 11.1.2 (from v11.0.7). To improve your user experience, you will see an updated interface when you sign in to Reporting, and you can take advantage of enhanced dashboard capabilities. Customers will see these changes after their instance of Reporting is upgraded during August 2019. The existing Merative Integrated Care reports, dashboards, and data are unaffected by these updates. Your custom reports and dashboards are also unaffected.
Data folders available for creating custom reports
Reporting
When your instance of Reporting is upgraded during August 2019, a limited set of data folders are available for creating custom reports. A complete set of data folders will be available in a future release of Merative Integrated Care Reporting. The following data folders are available:
- Clinical Data
- Notes
- Goals
- Individuals
- Individuals Not In Programs
- Tasks
- Touchpoints
- Care Team Actions
- Client Actions
- Assessments and Questionnaires
For more information about these data folders and their usage in reports, see the Merative Integrated Care data topic in the product documentation.
Notes and touchpoints data
Reporting
Touchpoints and Notes data sets are separated into their own folders. Note: The Touchpoint and Notes data sets that are within the Individuals In Programs folder are now deprecated but will be retained for a number of releases. These will be removed in a future release of Merative Integrated Care Reporting. When updating existing reports or creating new reports that contain Touchpoints or Notes data, use the data sets in the new folders.
What's new for integrations and APIs
New APIs
Merative Integrated Care
- Configurable Client Data API – A new API is now available for external systems to send, update, and delete custom client data captured in respect of client data types that are configured in Merative Integrated Care. When the data is received by Merative Integrated Care through the API, the care team can view the records and have a more complete view of the client’s context.
Merative Integrated Care
- When you run an assessment or a questionnaire and enter a multi line answer that exceeds 100 characters, an incorrect validation message displays that indicates that 100 is the maximum allowed character length. If you experience this issue, enter up to 2000 characters and save as normal. (247618)
- When using Merative Integrated Care with the Internet Explorer 11 browser, icons in the navigation panel do not display if you refresh your browser or change your workspace. If you experience this issue, sign out of the application and sign back in to display the icons. (246912)
- On the Data page in the Care Team workspace, an Add icon incorrectly displays for Birth and Death data. If you click the icon, an error displays. (247114)
- If you create a client referral, deactivate the client, and then use the Activate and Assign action on the Supervisor Workspace to reactivate the client and assign the referral, an error message displays. (246738)
- When you re-enroll or disenroll a client from a program, select a reason of Other and enter further details in the Other Reason field, the details you enter are not displayed on the Programs page. (246494)
- When referrals are assigned to a care team user, the capacity of that user should be decreased by the number of referrals assigned. There is an issue and the number of referrals is not updating correctly when referrals are assigned. However, once the user accepts the referrals, the capacity value is displays correctly. (243984)
- On the Supervisor workspace, the Capacity chart shows the workload distribution for all active care team members in your organization unit, however there is an issue and the card incorrectly displays the count of clients assigned to suspended and closed users as well as the count assigned to active users. (242495)
- When running or repeating questionnaires or assessments, actions that are suggested based on an answer to a question are displayed on the plan workspace irrespective of the answer. (310269, 244586)
- A confusing error message displays on the Client Summary card instead of the expected summary description. This issue occurs only if you configure the Client Summary card using a custom client data type and you have a blank value set item in the summary for the card and the data page. (304315)
- When you reset your password from the Merative Integrated Care sign in page, an obsolete Back link displays on the password reset email confirmation page. If you click this link, an error message displays. (245032)
- If multi-factor authentication is enabled, and you enter an expired passcode on the Multi-Factor Authentication page, a confusing error message displays. As a workaround, reopen the application URL in a new browser tab and restart the login process. Note: This issue occurred only when signing in from the Merative Integrated Care sign in page. (244246)
Reporting
- The billing report fails if there are more than 1000 clients registered on the instance of Merative Integrated Care. (239866)
- Errors occur if you create tasks reports that include care team data. (238020)
Merative Integrated Care Connect Providers
- The Configured Support Contact email is not displaying on the Connect Providers User Agreement. However, the Configured Support Contact phone number is displayed. To ensure that users can contact support, ensure that you configure a Support Contact phone number. (234127).
Merative Integrated Care
- If you add a consent attachment to a consent record that exceeds 25 mb, an error displays. (248200)
- If you configure a new version of an assessment or questionnaire, your new version and previous versions do not display when you expand the assessment or questionnaire in the administration application. (245829)
- When you add a user to an organization unit, if you search for a user with multiple assigned workspaces, the user is not returned in the search results unless you search for the user’s default workspace. The user should be returned if you search for any of their workspaces. (243934)
- If organization units are turned on, when adding a user to an organization, an incorrect label name “Security role” is displayed instead of “Workspaces” The user search will only search for a users default workspace instead of all users assigned workspaces. To avoid this issue search by the users name instead.(242820).
- If you register a client in Merative Integrated Care, and Merative Integrated Care is integrated with Connect360, Connect360 checks for a match. If no match is found, the client is automatically registered in Connect360. If you subsequently search for the client in Merative Integrated Care and Connect360, the search results indicate that the client is registered in both applications. However, if you then open the client’s Virtual Client Record, an inaccurate error message displays. (242258)
- For systems integrated with EPM, the alert triggered when EPM returns Risk Scores to Merative Integrated Care may contain some inaccurate information. The alert indicates that the client has been matched on the EPM system and clinical data has been received by Merative Integrated Care. However, this may not be the case as Risk scores are automatically generated for any client received by EPM even if the client was not matched on EPM. (223580)
- Do not use the Notes API for external systems integrations with Merative Integrated Care. There are technical issues with this API and it is currently not advised for use. (245994, 245992, 245989)
- When you view your shortlisted services from the Community Resources page, an error message displays. (250227)
- If you click the Onboard Third-Party SSO User link in the Security Administrator workspace, an error displays. (250276)
User experience issues when signing in
When signing in to Merative Integrated Care, you might experience the following issues:
- If multi-factor authentication is enabled, you cannot refresh the Multi-Factor Authentication page URL if you highlight it and press Enter. If you do this, an error message displays. As a workaround, use your browser Back button to return to the login page and restart the login process. (245062)
- If you attempt to log in to Merative Integrated Care with an incorrect username or password more than 5 times in a 1 minute time period, an error message is displayed. If you experience this issue, check your username and password to ensure you have the correct credentials. Then reopen your Merative Integrated Care URL and sign in with your correct username or password. (243536)
- When setting your password, you cannot use the @ symbol unless you combine it with another special character, for example, !#$%. (247885)
- When you click the Merative Integrated Care URL,the Merative Integrated Care sign in page opens. If you bookmark this URL or the URL for any other page in Merative Integrated Care, the bookmark will not work. To avoid this issue, only bookmark the application URL that is communicated to you by your organization. To do this, open your Bookmarks library in your preferred browser. Then, create a new bookmark by copying and pasting the URL for the Merative Integrated Care application that was communicated to you by your organization. For steps to correctly create a bookmark for the Merative Integrated Care URL in your browser, see this Merative Support Tech Note. (244910)
- At the end of your business day, if you do not close the browser tab that the Merative Integrated Care application is running in, then you return to the browser tab more than 12 hours later and try to log in, an error message displays. To sign in, open the URL for the Merative Integrated Care application and log in as normal. The Merative Integrated Care URL is provided to you by your organization and you may have previously bookmarked it. To avoid this issue, at the end of your business day, ensure that you always close the browser tab that Merative Integrated Careis open in. (248616)
Reporting
- Do not use the report called Report view of Notes AT3. list of notes with… date by program, care manager listed in the Team content > Merative Integrated Care > Reports folder. (243592)
- Reports that contain the Assigned Date and Assigned To values for referrals display only the care team members who are on the client’s current care team on the date when the report is generated. (240925, TS001377423)
- When you create a report that contains either assessments or questionnaire data, inconsistent report data is generated, for example, some data is repeated and some data is missing. (240244)
If you create a report that contains notes data, the report shows only notes for clients who have an associated program. It does not display data for clients who have no associated program but who have at least one note. (239618) - Identification type names received from systems integrated with Merative Integrated Care (via an API) incorrectly display in reports as EMR Identification Type. The correct identification type names, as received via the API, are visible on the Identifications page in the Care Team workspace. (245168)
- The reporting application is treating Allergy names as case sensitive, for example, when you generate a report of the number of clients with specific allergy types, allergy names in different cases are being considered as two different allergies. (224396)
- A New Query data item incorrectly displays in the Care Team data set in the Individuals folder. Do not use this data item in reports. (243987)
- If you create a report that contains Individuals data, the report shows only Active individuals, Inactive individuals do not display. (249156)
- Duplicate rows displays when you create a report that contains care team actions. (247753)
- Source and data source data does not display when you create vitals reports. (248435)
- Questionnaire reports do not always display the latest answers to conditional questions. This issue occurs if a care manager saves a draft questionnaire that contains answers to conditional questions and later changes the answers to the questions. To avoid this issue, the care manager must complete the questionnaire without saving. (249005, TS002362802)
- When you create a goals report that contains barrier data, the barrier data does not display in the report. (248752)
- When client data type record is deleted in the Care Team application, it incorrectly displays in existing reports until a new client data record of the same type is created or updated. (248486, 248483, 248444, 248440, 248421)
- When a care manager updates a clinical data or vitals data record in the care team application, instead of the record updating in existing reports, a new record incorrectly displays.(248438)
- Do not save custom reports or dashboards in the Team content -> Merative Integrated Care folder. If you do this, your content will be deleted with the next monthly update of Reporting. To avoid this issue, save your content in a child folder of Team content, or in the My content folder or its child folders. (249596)
Merative Integrated Care Community Services Payment
- If you are using payments, do not use 2 weekly or 4 weekly services. There is an issue with payment calculations for services with frequencies of 2 weekly and 4 weekly. (242597)
Merative Integrated Care Connect Providers
- When you view the terms and conditions and click either of the two country-specific (U.K. and U.S) links, the Merative Cloud Services Agreement for that country should open. Instead, an error message displays. As a workaround, to view the agreement for your country, go to this link: Cloud Services Agreement and select the name of your country. (246590)
- If you close your Connect account, a message displays to confirm that your account is closed. If open the Connect URL in the same browser tab and attempt to log in with different credentials, the same message displays. To login as a different user, clear your browser cache before you open the Connect URL and log in as normal. (248112)
- When onboarding, if you double-click Continue when confirming your secret code, a misleading error message displays. The message indicates that there was an issue checking your identity and instructs you to try again or contact your care for help. Ignore this message. Merative Integrated Care confirms your secret code and sends you an email with the subject “WHC password change” that allows you to set a password to complete the onboarding process. (249825)
Merative Integrated Care Connect Individuals
- When a Connect user’s password expires, the link to reset the password is incorrect. As a workaround, if a user’s password expires, use the Forgot Password link to reset the password. (243242, TS001249121)
- When onboarding a new client/provider to Connect, an intermittent error message may be encountered when confirming your identity. The error message indicates that there was an issue when checking your identity and instructs you to try again or contact your care for help. Despite the message, the system does confirm your identity and sends you an email with the subject “WHC password change” that allows you to set a password to complete the onboarding process. (246385)
- If you close your Connect account, a message displays to confirm that your account is closed. If open the Connect URL in the same browser tab and attempt to log in with different credentials, the same message displays. To login as a different user, clear your browser cache before you open the Connect URL and log in as normal. (248112)
- When onboarding, if you double-click Continue when confirming your date of birth, a misleading error message displays. The message indicates that there was an issue checking your identity and instructs you to try again or contact your care for help. Ignore this message. Merative Integrated Care confirms your secret code and sends you an email with the subject “WHC password change” that allows you to set a password to complete the onboarding process. (249825)
