Hi Merge Community,
In case you missed it earlier this month, I have some exciting news to share. This May, after a long time away, Merge is bringing back a fan favorite of our customers: the return of Merge LIVE.
For the last few years, we’ve been calling our annual get-together of Merge users the “Merge User Conference.” But let’s face it: that’s a boring name. It doesn’t capture the energy of what these events are really about. After all, getting the wider Merge community – customers, partners, industry leaders – under the same roof for a few days to talk about their Merge experiences, success stories, and future plans is supposed to be FUN. “User conference” is just the name of a type of event; anyone can have those.
But Merge LIVE is a mission statement: to put on a once-a-year celebration that spotlights your unique Merge experience and what the Merge community has to offer, in a way that only an in-person, face-to-face, live event can capture.
We hope you’ll join us this May in New Orleans for the return of Merge LIVE. Check out the agenda to see what we have on deck for this year. We promise the event will be worth the trip – and worthy of the name LIVE. See you in New Orleans!

Come find us at booth #4635 to discuss your Merge deployment, and why now may be the time to consider upgrading with new workflow orchestration, teleradiology support, or enterprise imaging capabilities with Merge Imaging Suite. While you’re there, make sure to catch our joint presentation, Tuesday March 10, 11am PST, with our partners at Microsoft on how Merge Imaging Suite, backed by Azure, can help accelerate your enterprise imaging journey in the cloud to make your workflows more reliable, less complex, and faster.
As one of the original co-founders of the DICOM standard, we have spent decades continuing to evolve the Merge DICOM Toolkit to better support the developers creating imaging medical devices and systems, such as modalities and digital pathology. That’s why we are pleased to introduce the next step in DICOM evolution with Merge DICOM Toolkit 5.22, including new compatibility for 64-bit .NET10 Framework on Windows and Linux and 32-bit Windows; fixes for previous crash and decompression errors; and 233 patient model gender enhancements. With DICOM Toolkit 5.22, it’s never been simpler to build a DICOM service in the cloud.
